To the editor:

Our garage/house caught fire in January. We haven’t spoken in public until the house was gutted. Thank you’s: Our neighbor, Marie Korson, called in the fire, taking quick action in a scary situation. Fire departments from all over the county traveled our dirt road, no easy feat. Our son, Ben, arrived quickly and reported the incredible bravery shown by the firefi ghters, some who went to school with our kids. Thanks to Deputy Sam Wigton, neighbors and friends. We have lost things of great emotional value to our family, but the kindness and courage displayed will be with us forever.
