Unfortunate

To the editor:

Thanks to Tony Borden for highlighting the unfortunate Leland River dock removal. It seems we ended up in a situation no one wants. The dock provided a safe place for boat launchers to tie up and to organize their gear and family. The dock provided a safe place to fish on the river. And, the dock provided a convenient place to briefly tie up while doing errands in Leland.

How did we ever end up here? Why not put the topic on the “docket” at the next township meeting? Pretty sure money can be found to build a new dock.
