The Glen Lake golf team played its ‘A’ game at regionals on Thursday to qualify for the MHSAA Div. 4 State championship this weekedn states with a second-place team finish.
Laker junior Michael Houtteman finished second overall as an individual with a 77 at Lost Lake Woods Golf Club.
Glen Lake senior Jacob Switzer put it all on the line, shooting an 88, and finishing 14th to propel the Lakers as a team. Laker freshman Gabe Hazelton shot a 95; junior Ben Romzel 95; freshman Joel Martin 104. The Lakers shot a team combine-scored 356.
Glen Lake heads down to The Meadows at Grand Valley State University for the MHSAA Division 4 State Championship.
