To the editor:
As a newcomer to Leelanau County, I want to highlight the vital role Parenting Communities played in integrating families like mine into the community. Beyond the documented evidence which underlines the program’s efficacy on improving parenting skills and connecting families to resources, they offer a priceless human touch. For me and my young girls, it provided an open door to feel welcome in a new land, which is in and of itself priceless. So whether you are a generational or new resident here, please join me in supporting our families by voting for the Leelanau Early Childhood Millage.
