Grateful for support

To the editor:

On behalf of the Leland Chamber of Commerce I’d like to express our gratitude for the unwavering support and generosity from our community. When we shared the cancellation of our beloved Leland Wine Festival this year, our main fundraiser, the response was heartwarming. Two individuals took the initiative and raised enough money from the community (that’s you!) to cover the fireworks display on July 3rd and town beautification like fresh flowers and trash removal (yay!). Cherryland Electric Cooperative also stepped up and made a donation through their sponsorship and charitable giving program. We love our community!
