This heritage of giving back will take to the street to offer not only a 2-mile walk, but the 5K chip-timed event.

Participates will receive a goody bag which includes our logo Cooling Towel. 5k Runners will line up at the Northport Visitor Center to begin the start at 9 a.m. with 2-milers to follow. The Northport Run will accept “day of” registrations starting at 8 a.m. and they encourage you to register early online. Fishtown 5K
The Fishtown 5K will be held in Leland on Saturday, July 20th at 9:00 a.m.
All proceeds from the Fishtown 5K go towards preserving historic Fishtown—the place, the stories and the Great Lakes fishing tradition.
Starting and finishing in the heart of Fishtown, gradual climbs and graceful descents for the serious runner or the whole family. Runners, walkers, strollers and leashed dogs are all welcome. Rain or shine.
Age categories in five-year age increments starting at: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80+.
Participants receive a t-shirt, logo sticker, commemorative race bib, and race medals, to name a few.
Running Bear Run
The 17th annual Running Bear Run returns on Tuesday July 23, 2024. The race, professional chip-timed, is held rain or shine starting at Cherry Republic on Lake Street in Glen Arbor. Start times are 9 AM for the 5K Run/Walk with the 1/2 Mile Kid’s Run starting at 9:05 a.m. Online registrations will close at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, July 22, 2024. The race is sponsored by the Glen Arbor Women’s Club and 90% of the proceeds from our race provide scholarships for Glen Lake School seniors, with the remainder going toward other community charitable organizations.
