Wednesday, July 3

6:38 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller reporting his dog has been out all night. Husky. Ongoing issue. He has advised the neighbors because the dog goes after the chickens.

11:59 a.m. — Solon Township — Gray Yukon. Black Chevy truck. Caller says a man hit him while getting gas at Buntings. Was verbally abusive and took off in an older black Chevy truck.

5:02 p.m. — Kasson Township — Black GMC Denali was tailgating caller and when she made room for him to get around her. He was very aggressive and nearly forced her off the road.

5:36 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Apple iPhone crash notification. (No accident. No one around).

6:44 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Apple iPhone crash notification. (Law enforcement drove through. No accident in any direction).

Thursday, July 4

12:05 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller is worried about neighbor with mobility issues. (Individual was OK).

12:48 a.m. — Kasson Township — Friend fell and is bleeding but doesn’t want help. (Contact made. No need for any medical attention).

2 a.m. — Empire Township — Article thrown from vehicle. One on sobriety tests. Arrested for operating while intoxicated.

5:02 a.m. — Bingham Township — Two-car crash at M-22 and Bingham Road.

6:47 a.m. — Empire Township — Caller hasn’t heard from her sister in four days. (Contact made).

8:31 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Illegal camping at D.H. Day Park.

1:30 p.m. — Empire Township — Caller says he separated from his wife. Concerned for their child.

2:45 p.m. — Empire Township — Son is at the bottom of the bluff. (Kid made it back up).

3:21 p.m. — Cleveland Township — People are riding dirt bikes and quad-runner on Sugar Loaf Mountain. Caller is concerned for their safety.

4:11 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller says his father-in-law has been drinking and pushing him. Caller is waiting outside until law enforcement arrives.

5:37 p.m. — Bingham Township — Caller arrived to repossess a vehicle and was assaulted by the owner.

6:24 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Fight.

10:28 p.m. — Leelanau Township — White Pacifica swerving all over the road. Headed southbound toward Leland.

11:51 p.m. —Bingham Township — Dog causing traffic concerns.

11:55 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township— Sobriety assessment given. Driver taken into custody for operating while intoxicated.

Friday, July 5

12:14 a.m. — Elmwood Township — VW Atlas, white in color. Sobriety assessment given. Driver taken into custody for operating while intoxicated.

12:17 a.m. — Bingham Township — Fireworks still going off after midnight.

12:37 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Fireworks going off down the road from caller. Fireworks must be done at that point.

12:52 a.m. — Leland Township — Kids are messing around in the orchard across from the caller.

1:15 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Subaru. Sobriety assessment given. Driver taken into custody.

1:23 a.m. — Cleveland Township — Caller is not from the area. She advised she needed to leave a party and now doesn’t have a ride. Also her phone is almost dead and cannot call a cab.

6:43 a.m. — Leelanau Township — Female called Antrim County and said she was locked in the trunk of her car because she wanted to get out of the rain. (She is fine. No longer locked in her vehicle).

7:56 a.m.— Bingham Township — Girlfriend took keys to the truck. She’s driving an unregistered Subaru. (Caller no longer needs assistance. He will attempt to get his keys back from her).

3:12 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Found 5-year-old wandering the sidewalk. (Child was returned to grandfather).

5:48 p.m. — Centerville Township — Caller says half of her cows are out and they are attempting to locate them now. (Cows are back home).

8:54 p.m. — Cleveland Township — Blue Toyota Highlander near Shalda Creek. Unoccupied. People in the beach area. Warning given about camping. They will be moving along.

11:24 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Individuals being very loud. The camp is supposed to be shut down at 11 p.m. In the area of RV Park.

11:47 p.m. — Kasson Township — White vehicle in parking lot. Both individuals were there earlier. Looking for a piece of jewelry.

Saturday, July 6

4:54 p.m. — Leland Township — Backpack found in the middle of the road.

7:48 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Caller’s husband can’t climb back up the dune. Husband is 31. In good health. Just seems to be resting and no climbing. (Climber made it to the top unassisted).

10:29 p.m. Suttons Bay Township — Caller’s neighbor has been shooting fireworks for more than an hour.

11:04 p.m. — Leland Township— Caller hears fireworks coming from beach. Would like someone to go to beach and ask them to stop.

Sunday, July 7

2:33 a.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller reports intoxicated female drove a golf cart through yard. She is trying to leave but the golf cart is stuck. (Caller could not get her name. She was uncooperative).

5:13 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Two vehicles parking in spots designated for trailers. (Citation issued).

12:03 p.m. — Centerville Township — Male, 8, firing a BB gun on caller’s property. (Contact made with family. Individual was shooting a BB gun with his father and older brother).

3:53 p.m. — Empire Township — Boyfriend is driving a white, Chrysler 200. Refusing to get in the car because caller has been drinking.

6:01 p.m. — Leland Township — White GMC Sienna truck northbound. Swerving all over the road. No longer behind the vehicle.

8:58 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Park ranger called out with some off road tracks and believes there are some people trying to camp where they shouldn’t be.

Monday, July 8

10:41 a.m. — Leland Township — Two golden Retrievers in the ditch. One dead. (Animal in the ditch was a deer and remaining dog was returned.)

12:46 p.m. —Empire Township — Neighbor’s guinea fowl comes onto caller’s property and then one or more of his dogs “get loose” and chases the birds.

1:02 p.m. — Empire Township — Ongoing problem with white Porsche that is always driving fast on Welch Road as well as other summer traffic that speeds on the straight away on Welch. Additional patrols requested.

1:15 p.m. — Leland Township — Vehicle blocking street in downtown Leland. (Will be moving momentarily per law enforcement).

2:58 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Ongoing problem with contractors parking in the area of this address blocking the roadway. (Per law enforcement, large semi parked there. Spoke with the driver and informed him why the road needs to remaining accessible).

4:16 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Smaller oar with orange grip handle. Paddle is yellow. Shaft is black. Washed up in front of caller’s house.

6:03 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller was walking her dog and found a green plastic bag with dog feces that someone was kind enough to pick up but left the bag behind. Would like to speak about it with animal control.

11:35 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Loud party next door. Caller does not need to see an officer. Would like someone to ask them to keep it down.
