Experience and competency

To the editor:

As three former and the current Township Supervisors we’re asking you to support Jolisa Ugalde for Leelanau Township Treasurer. Why? Our current Treasurer, after 28 years of service, is retiring. Continuity of services is a critical need and Jolisa brings to the role five years of experience as both the Deputy Clerk and most recently as Deputy Treasurer. As a mother of four Northport students, she’ll bring to the Board a diverse perspective. Based on our collective experiences, the Township needs her experience and competency as Treasurer.
