To the editor:
Why are Democrats against a Republican-sponsored bill requiring voter ID to vote in federal elections? Is it because they’re planning to commit massive voter fraud?
It’s required to show an ID to board a plane, receive welfare benefits, visit health-care facilities, etc. Every legitimate vote should be protected to insure fair elections, and no one should vote for any politician who opposes this SAVE Act.
It’s no burden on American citizens to prove citizenship, and voters should welcome this requirement. Elections have grave consequences. If you’re incapable of getting an ID, then you’re incapable of voting.
