To the editor:
Knowing that there are two sides to every story, with the truth being somewhere near the middle, I feel a need to share some ten years of observing a man I have always held a lot of respect for.
For approximately 10 of my 32 years in education, I worked under the principalship of a man who was, and still is, in my opinion, extremely knowledgeable, more than supportive, fair in his dealings with you, truly interested in you, both as an employee and a person, fair in his evaluations, offering both constructive criticism and praise, someone who seeks to make things better for the common good, a man who gives tirelessly of himself in endeavors he undertakes. He is a man who “runs a tight ship”.
Never did I see a man who was discriminatory, intentionally unfair, or gender biased. This man entertained and welcomed all input from staff and welcomed discussion on issues that arose. I can’t imagine him engaging in the allegations being brought against him by one of the resigning board members.
Thank you, TY WESSELL, for serving our county with honesty, dignity and respect for all.
