To the editor:
The Glen Lake Woman’s Club’s Art Fair was a success, thanks to generous community support. Bay Area Transportation Authority drivers shuttled vendors to and from remote parking areas. Local businesses provided food and purchased ads to promote the fair. Empire Lions Club members, the Glen Lake High School football team, and scholarship recipients helped wherever needed. The day would not have run smoothly for artists and shoppers without their assistance.
Since 1980, the Glen Lake Woman’s Club has awarded $325,000 college scholarships to 245 Glen Lake School students. Scholarships have also been awarded for other critical student needs.
