James Carl Bendig, known affectionately as Jim to his friends and family, passed away on July 18, 2024, in Simpsonville, South Carolina. Born on May 8, 1938, in Buffalo, New York, Jim’s life was a testament to his faith-filled, courageous, and spirited nature. He was a beacon of light and love to all who knew him, and his legacy will continue to inspire those he has left behind.
Jim was a devoted husband to Carol Ann Leneberg Bendig and a loving father to his daughter Deborah Lang (Keith) and his son David Bendig. His grandchildren, Rachael Anderson (Adam), Regan Majerle ( Jason), Brady, Bryce, and Brynn Bendig, brought immense joy to his life. Predeceased by his parents, Edwin and Ida Sheehan Bendig, his brother William Bendig, and his sister Doris Bendig, Jim’s memory will be cherished and kept alive by his family.
