4:57 p.m. —Bingham Township — Dog in distress. Rust-colored Mercedes SUV Crossover.
10:16 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Resident is very upset that fireworks are going off across the lake, He says it has happened before and thinks it comes somewhere from Dune Hwy. Wants someone to go make it stop and “enforce the law.” (Per law enforcement, no noise happening.)
11:31 p.m. — Leland Township — Deputy out with a vehicle. Sobriety tests given. One in custody for operating while intoxicated.
11:44 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Suspicious vehicle at roadside park. (Couple out looking for the Northern Lights.)
Thursday, Aug. 1
2:38 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Red Dodge Journey stopped on sobrieties. One in custody for operating while intoxicated.
4:48 a.m. — Leland Township — Person came into the lobby and stated that his girlfriend took his phone, keys and wallet.
11:20 a.m. — Kasson Township — Gravel trucks (unknown company) driving fast on Newman and Kasson Center Road. (Law enforcement observed traffic in the area. But they are driving “judiciously.”) 2:14 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Dodge Durando black/dark gray. Driver swerving off road and yellow line. Driving over speed limit.
3:29 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller had a package taken out of mailbox.
3:46 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — White Volvo. Two dogs in the car appear to be in distress. (Law enforcement checked on dogs. All the windows are cracked. They are barking but do not appear in distress.)
6:37 p.m. — Empire Township — Ongoing problem with neighbor’s dogs. German Shepherds. Thinks she may have five dogs. Three of them were in caller’s chicken coop killing chickens earlier today.
10:38 p.m. — Bingham Township — Small boat for sale at the corner of Cummings St. and M-22. Caller advised a male was possibly sleeping in the boat.
Friday, Aug. 2
12:24 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Man laying in the road appears to be involved in a motorcycle accident. Male was not wearing a helmet and appears to have been drinking. (One taken into custody.)
3:07 a.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller’s wife got up and the side of the house was lit up. Electric outlet on the outside of the house, that is blacked. Smells like it was an electrical fire.
8:23 a.m. — Bingham Township — Silver Ford Explorer tailgating and passing.
11:52 a.m. — Cleveland Township — Caller reports road rage incident. Gray Hatchback. Passed on a curve. He tailgated and tried to pass. Came straight at caller in opposite lane.
12:22 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — 6 or 7-year-old with early teens left in the back of a black Ford Exhibition.
1:58 p.m. — Kasson Township — Caller went over to a friend’s house and was bit by their dog.
3:33 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Northbound black Ford Escape driving erratically not using turn signals. Passed a mini Cooper by going around them in the center turn lane.
3:41 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township— Deputy out with a group of 10 kids attempting to jump off the bridge.
8 p.m. — Solon Township — Landlord is making threats to caller and he claims to have a personal protection order.
9:11 p.m. — Cleveland Township — Two dogs off leash at Shalda Creek.
Saturday, Aug. 3
9:52 a.m. — Leland Township — Black SUV speeding through downtown Leland, 40 mph. Seems to be turning around and going the other way.
11:36 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Illegal parking at St. Mary and Madison Avenue.
12:04 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Parking issue at St. Mary and Jefferson Street.
2:32 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Dad pushed grandma down into a table.
2:48 p.m. — Empire Township — Illegally parked vehicles.
3:20 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Volvo C-70. Windows are cracked. Two dogs are panting and appear to be in distress.
4:26 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Small, black purse stolen from a picnic table.
7:52 p.m. — Leland Township — Boat with five occupants stopped on N. Lake Leelanau.
10:23 p.m. — Solon Township — Two black dogs at large. Both have collars. One has a leash still attached.
Sunday, Aug. 4
4:43 a.m. — Caller reports a car parked in the spot designated for vehicles with trailers.
9:41 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Skid marks and an older burgundy Mustang with white trim is in the ditch. But unoccupied. Looks like it hit a tree.
11:36 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Parking issue at St. Joseph and Concord Street.
11:57 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Parking issue at above location.
1:04 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Hot dog in car. Silver Subaru.
1:52 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Parking issue at St. Joseph and Concord Street.
9:41 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Individual had been drinking and accosted two couples and brandished a knife.
10:56 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller report a fight in the parking lot. Two males and a female yelling. Five people in total.
Monday, Aug. 5
12:03 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Sister assaulted caller and her mother. Destroyed some property.
6:02 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller is having a verbal argument with her husband.
6:04 a.m. — Centerville Township — Neighbor has construction equipment running and its 6 a.m. (Area patrolled. There is no loud equipment.) 11:26 a.m. — Solon Township — Blue minivan with older male at the corner of South Cedar Road and M-72. Asking for money and walking into the lane of traffic. (Subject understands and compliant with parking violation and has moved.)
11:32 a.m. — Bingham Township — White Equinox going into the other lane.
11:35 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Teenage son out of control. Caller does not feel safe.
6:01 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Parking issue. Vehicles parking past the “no parking here “ sign, obstructing the visibility of other drivers.
7:09 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller is waiting for her ex to drop off children at the Omena Post Office. He is not dropping them off.
Tuesday, Aug. 6
12:02 a.m. — Centerville Township — Neighbor to the east is running heavy machinery. It is still going on. (Per law enforcement, exterior lighting was on but no one was out there. No noise.)
