To the editor:
Nikki Haley stated, “The first party to retire its 80-year-old candidate is going to be the party that wins the election.”
Interestingly, Trump, now 78, would be 82 by the end of a potential second term. His recent rallies reveal concerning signs: gibberish, slurred speech, confusion about people and facts.
Trump appears unwell and struggles to articulate coherently. The GOP should consider asking him to step aside for a younger, more capable candidate who can effectively lead the country and has a better chance of serving a full term.
It’s time for the Republican Party to prioritize the nation’s interests over individual ambitions.
