5:13 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Gray Mercedes SUV with bike rack is parked in a spot that is supposed to be for boat trailers only. Caller says there’s no where to park. Says it’s been an ongoing issue.
10:43 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Silver Honda Civic all over the road.
11:03 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township —Kayaker in distress on South Manitou. (Stand down. Person rescued by National Park personnel.)
12:36 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Dump truck over the white line. Individual was asked to move the truck and he said he would but then he jumped right back onto his equipment and started to back up without moving the vehicle. (Per law enforcement, there is a lot of heavy equipment here. Nothing over the white line. All legal.)
2:56 p.m. — Bingham Township — Caller was passed by a vehicle going 90 mph around a corner. Dark green Toyota Camry.
Thursday, Aug. 22
8:11 p.m. — Leland Township — Caller would like parking lot at the Leland Harbor checked for son’s vehicle. White, Jeep Cherokee. Son spent the week on South Manitou and caller’s cannot get a hold of him.
9:22 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller requests a welfare check on her sister. Have not heard from her in five days.
11:52 p.m. — Bingham Township — Calling on behalf of a friend. Female at this residence thinks someone may be breaking in.
8:19 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Boyfriend is stalking caller.
10:09 a.m. — Centerville Township — Boston Whaler washed up on caller’s dock. Boat owners advised. Will come pick up.
10:10 a.m. — Bingham Township — Black Jeep northbound, keeps crossing the center line.
11:38 a.m. — Empire Township — Nurse would like a welfare check on female who seemed confused on the phone.
4:17 p.m. — Leland Township — Single vehicle crash. Two people in vehicle. Eagle highway closed down north of the accident as well.
5:28 p.m. — Bingham Township — Caller’s purse fell out of her car when she was checking her mail and it is gone. (Caller believes someone picked it up out of the road. Neighbors found it.)
7:36 p.m. — Empire Township — Caller went to old address to retrieve some packages. She advised the boxes were left on the porch and empty.
9:46 p.m. — Solon Township — Disorderly person. Subject not being cooperative. Taken into custody.
Friday, Aug. 23
8:32 a.m. — Bingham Township — Northbound Chrysler Pacifica, dark blue. Took out 'men working' sign. Crossing fog and centerlines. (Vehicle stopped. Driver arrested for operating while intoxicated.)
8:51 a.m. — Leelanau Township — Intoxicated driver pulled into a business. No plate. Blue Hyundai Sonata. Northbound to Northport. White female, 60s, with gray hair and smoking. Disheveled.
9:53 a.m. — Cleveland Township — Computer scam.
10:02 a.m. — Solon Township — Ten to 15 cats in various sizes. Emaciated.
2:50 p.m. — Cleveland Township — Caller found cat with what appears to be a through and through bullet wound. (Took cat to a vet to determine what happened to it. Per vet, determined not to be a gunshot would. Likely an animal attack.)
5:04 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Boater was trying to launch an unregistered pontoon boat. Marine units made contact and dissuaded him from launching.
6 p.m. — Cleveland Township — Deputy out with two young children standing down by the road with no one around. (Spoke with the adults there and gave them a warning about the kids being so close to the road.)
6:14 p.m. — Bingham Township — Caller advises that he had seen a male and walking on his property per his trail cam. The caller had tools stolen in the past and would like to know the steps he should take.
7:09 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Gray 4Runner driving erratically. Swerving and passing on double line. Heading northbound.
8:21 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Husky or Malamute tried to attack caller’s dog and now the caller is stuck inside the tennis courts at the park.
8:48 p.m.— Glen Arbor Township — 911 hangup. Open line. No sounds of distress “but rather a family enjoying the dunes.” No emergency.
9:10 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Caller’s son left about 7 p.m. to bike the Heritage Trail and bike into town. White male, 13. Phone pinged an hour ago near the dunes. (Subject found without incident.)
11:48 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller was sitting in her living room and heard a noise downstairs. She is all alone in bedroom with door locked. (Home is secure per law enforcement.)
Saturday, Aug. 24
4:53 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Maroon Hyundai parked in the trailer parking at the boat launch on Lake St.
12:51 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township —Caller says cars are driving extremely fast on the straight away and is concerned that pedestrian and bicyclist are not safe. Requests additional patrols provided for patrol information.
9:22 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Fight at a birthday party. No weapons known. One of the siblings left the property.
10:04 p.m. —Solon Township — Male walking on M-72 eastbound. Very close to the fog line. Caller thinks he should be checked on. (Law enforcement drove through area. No one present.)
11:07 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller advised her neighbor came over and started yelling at them about their barking dog. She wants someone to talk to her neighbor.
11:22 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Red passenger van with tinted windows has been parked at church since 5 p.m. Caller says he has not left and she has been watching him for hours. (Subject attended a service there earlier. Will head to another church in Grand Traverse County.)
Sunday, Aug. 25
12:55 a.m. — Bingham Township — Two males on caller’s property. Sounds like they may be playing on her kids’ swing set. Caller thinks they left 10 minutes ago.
4 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Man is playing loud music at Old Settlers. Homeowner across the street went and asked him to turn it down and he turned it up louder. Homeowner was not comfortable taking it further. Would like someone to check it out. (Per caller, noisemakers left.)
12:09 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — “Husband is being a jerk.” Law enforcement spoke with both parties. Both stated it was verbal only. Nothing physical.
4:59 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller is scared there is a bear next to him in the brush. Hears growling. (Was advised to stay on the phone while he walked back to his car and make a lot of noise doing it. (Caller said to never mind. It was his cousin pranking him.)
10:19 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Caller sees a strobe light going off about 300 to 400 feet off shore in the water. Caller though it was concerning and it could be a distress signal. (Looks to be a vessel that is slowly underway about two miles out.)
Monday, Aug. 26
1:38 p.m. — Bingham Township — Cream-colored Dodge minivan crossing the centerline northbound from Donner Road.
4:19 p.m. — Cleveland Township — Suspicious incident. Caller has personal protection order against someone and while he was on a walk, he came back and discovered his glass table was shattered. Just wanted it documented. No suspicious vehicles or items that would have broke the table.
11:17 p.m. — Leland Township — Loud music coming from nearby residence. Caller would like them to be kindly asked if they could turn it down. (Law enforcement doesn’t hear any noise coming from the area in question.)
