Suttons Bay students will be able to shine like the stars they are in their newly refurbished auditorium. Crews have been busy all summer with a nearly $500,000 project which included new sound and lighting; new carpet and an updated stage. “When this auditorium was built, the school ran out of money and couldn’t finish the auditorium as planned,” Superintendent Casey Petz said. Thanks, in part, to voter support for an $18.3 million bond proposal in May, the district could finally bring the facility up to the level of those performing. “The kids put on first-class shows,” Petz said. “This place is magic.”
