Labor Day bridge walks in Leland and Lake Leelanau were as encouraging as they were inspiring, both radiating a refreshing unity of spirit and effort.
Lake Leelanau’s organizers raised funds for community improvements and events, while Leland’s parade-like atmosphere, led by our local VFW, provided a cheerful, patriotic energy.
Our sheriff and township fire departments helped clear the way.
For those of us in public office, it’s important to remember how many passionate people it takes to keep a community vibrant and connected. I’m fortunate to call this place my home, and would be honored to serve it as supervisor.
