To the editor:
After being recalled by voters and losing the recall election, former District 3 Commissioner Will Bunek hasn’t attended a single Board of Commissioners’ meeting. In contrast, Lois Bahle stayed involved in county government, attending almost every BOC meeting even after losing re-election. As District 3 Commissioner, Bahle helped create the On Sale/Transfer Septic Inspection ordinance, already proven effective in keeping our county’s fresh water clean. The consummate volunteer, Bahle sits on the Energy Task Force and serves on the Leelanau Economic Foundation, the Housing Action Committee, and the Solid Waste Council. When Bahle wins, our county wins. Vote Lois Bahle.
