Wednesday, Aug. 28
9:31 a.m. — Empire Township — Dogs have come to caller’s property this morning. Had a chicken in its mouth but they scared it off.
11:11 a.m. — Centerville Township — Caller has a crew constructing a pole barn on her site. Neighbors keep harassing her work crew and coming onto the property to do it. Would like her trespassed and warned about harassment. (Neighbors were trespassed.)
12:26 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Someone knocked on door at 2 a.m. Happened twice in the past year. Heard males voice yelling. He left so she didn’t call. Just wants it logged for information — was advised to call when it is happening.
7:51 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller working at ice cream shop. Female came in and advised her dog got hit by a car. Dog is all right but care left the scene. Red truck with trailer on back. Female advised that the truck almost hit her while she was crossing the street. Suspect described as white male, medium build. Wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue jeans.
8:45 p.m. — Glen Arbor — Guests are observing a vessel northeast of this location that has a yellow light flashing. Looks like it has been drifting further out for the past hour. Glen Lake Fire is going to try and get eyes on it. (Per fire department, it’s a fishing boat and it’s coming ashore.)
Thursday, Aug. 29
3:32 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Man was outside when a customer’s dog approached him. He was scared of the dog and pulled out a knife. Apparently to defend himself if necessary. He was asked to leave and departed in a Black Ford Explorer with a female driver.
4:21 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Employee did not show up for work. Bike is at his residence. Television is on. Not answering the door. (Met with subject. He is OK and declined any assistance.)
7:21 p.m. — Bingham Township — F-150 driving erratically. North on M-22. No plate.
9:49 p.m. — Cleveland Township — House on the lake. There is a boat shining a light on caller’s house. Has been there for 30 minutes. (Caller called back. The boat has gone. She believe the boat was searching for the boat launch. No response needed.)
Friday, Aug. 30
1:47 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — White Chevy blazer swerving all over fog and center line.
3:54 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Two males, one on mini dirt bike and one on a fourwheeler. Tore up caller’s yard last night. Does not know who the subjects are. They drive up and down the road constantly.
7:02 p.m. — Leland Township — Caller reports he is still having issues with people parking on his lot. Caller would like some information on enforceable parking laws.
7:35 p.m, — Suttons Bay Township — Deputy checked out two vehicles parking where they shouldn’t be.
7:41 p.m. — Leland Township— Large gathering next to caller’s residence. They are being very loud and the caller would like them to be asked to quiet down.
7:55 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller had a vehicle speed through the neighborhood and go through his yard. His mailbox is in pieces and there are car parts there. Happened about 6 p.m.
8:32 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Maple subject either hit by a car and fallen off his bike or fallen off bike.
8:59 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Two houses north of caller there are people who have used the public access to start a campfire on caller’s property. Neighbor is no home. (Subjects put out the fire.)
Saturday, Aug. 31
1:51 a.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller’s neighbors are having a loud party and caller would like it to quiet down.
8:21 a.m. — Cleveland Township — Red motorcycle on back of an RV.
9:29 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Burgundy Mustang with black door, driving slowly up and down the road while caller was jogging.
1:10 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller reports sometime around 3 a.m., last night, a dark van pulled up to home. Turned lights off and on and continued driving around neighborhood. Two people in it.
3:52 p.m. — Cleveland Township — Multiple boat trailers parked on the roadway that caller believes are not far enough off the road.
3:54 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller starts there are people fishing on his lake. (Subjects were advised that this isn’t a public lake.)
4 p.m. — Bingham Township — Caller’s autistic son ran away. (Back with his family.)
5:42 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller reports her husband assaulted her a couple days ago and she would like to file a report.
7:06 p.m. — Leland Township — Caller reports a Trump sign on a telephone or electric pole. Also a political sign on a road sign. Caller thinks it should be looked at as he believes it’s not legal.
10:04 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller report that his neighbors are coming onto his property at night and putting
nails on his driveway.
Sunday, Sept. 1
1:15 a.m. — Leland Township — Caller reports someone is being unruly, driving around in his electric truck. Driver arrested for operating while intoxicated.
1:20 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Criminal sexual conduct reported.
10:25 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Disorderly person.
4:17 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Male is arguing with girlfriend over the phone.
4:32 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Juveniles jumping off the bridge.
5 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Lincoln Navigator. Sobriety tests administers. Driver arrested for operating while intoxicated.
6:53 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Neighbor dispute. Juveniles were yelling at each other.
7:54 p.m. — Leland Township —Gray-colored Ford. Caller witnessed the driver throw a bottle out of the window near the gas station on M-204. Nearly caused a head-on collision.
9:09 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Loud music at a venue that is supposed to be done by 9 p.m. (Deputy sat in the area for a while. Noise level is not above talking.) Caller called back stating the party is starting up again. Deputy returned to the area and couldn’t hear anything. (Deputy spoke with caller about what constitutes disturbing the peace.)
Monday, Sept. 2
11:36 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Door is open but no one is around the restaurant and they are apparently closed today. (Owner arrived. Did a walk-though. Everything seems in order.)
