As Witches Brew season kicks off, Leelanau Cellars is thrilled to announce that its beloved Witches Brew will be available in 41 states this fall. This marks the largest distribution of the popular wine in over two decades.

Witches Brew has been a staple of the Halloween season, outselling all national Halloween wines per store. This year, the iconic red wine will be featured in all Target and Trader Joe’s locations that sell wine across the United States, driving its nationwide expansion. New states such as Florida, Colorado, and even Hawaii will now have the opportunity to experience the magic of Witches Brew.

“This expansion is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team,” said Leelanau Cellars President Bob Jacobson. “Witches Brew has been a fall tradition in the Midwest for over 25 years, and we’re excited to share it with a wider audience across the nation.”

Witches Brew is mulled red wine that features classic flavors of cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg, and it can be enjoyed chilled, warmed, or devilishly hot. In recent years, the brand expanded to include Witches Brew Pumpkin Spice and Witches Brew Spiced Apple.

“Every fall begins with Witches Brew,” said Matthew Doyle, Leelanau Cellars Marketing and Communications Coordinator. “Last year, we saw it grow in popularity, especially on social media, and we are looking forward to seeing even more excitement about the Witches Brew season with this expansion into other states.”

Leelanau Cellars will host special events at its tasting room as well. From September 20-22, the winery will host their “Kickoff to Fall” with a flight special of all three Witches Brews and Autumn Harvest for just $5.00. And from September 27-October 1, visitors can indulge in a mug of Witches Brew for $10.00. Wine club members can look forward to a special event on October 24, which will include food and wine pairings.

For all inquiries, please reach out to the winery’s Marketing and Communications Coordinator, Matthew Doyle.

The Jacobson family and Kalchik family founded Leelanau Cellars in 1974, when they came up with the idea to plant vines at their Leelanau County cherry orchard. Fifty years later, the winery is still family-owned and features a tasting room right on the beautiful Grand Traverse Bay. It has grown into one of the largest wineries in the Midwest, producing more than 70 award-winning wines and distributing almost 300,000 cases annually to 41 different states.
