LAKE LEELANAU - Phyllis Krinne (Kilcherman) Drow of Lake Leelanau passed in the early morning hours at Munson Medical Center on Saturday, August 24, 2024. She had lived with multiple myeloma for over 9 years.

She was born to John and Phyllis Kilcherman of Northport on September 16, 1956. She grew up in Northport and graduated from Northport High School in 1974. This year marked her 50th year class reunion.

Krinne was active in softball, cheerleading and church activities in her high school years. She had many friends and was loved by many. After high school she attended Northwestern Michigan College and received her associates degree as a Legal Secretary. She worked at R L Polk in Traverse City.

On October 1, 1994 Krinne married the love of her life, Daniel Joseph Drow at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Lake Leelanau. They shared 30 years of marriage. Their son, Wallace John Drow, was born on November 18, 1995. She was thrilled to have her son and was very proud of him. In her later years she worked on her parents’ cherry and apple farm. She was very determined and strong and could pull her weight with any male worker. She and her husband were in charge of making the farm’s amazing and popular apple cider during the apple season. They worked together as a team.

Krinne also enjoyed painting art and doing crafts. She must have received her mother’s talent as her art is beautiful. Her home is filled with her art and crafts. She loved color!

Krinne is survived by her husband, Dan, and her son Wallace. She is also survived by her father John Kilcherman Sr, brother Paul Kilcherman, and sister Maureen (Roger) Mawby, Phyllis Drow, Jean Grant, Oscar and Elder Drow, Betty and Duane Bardenhagen, Shirley and Dave Miller, Tom and Dolly Drow, Rose and Wencil Korson, Greg and Barb Drow, John and Julie Drow, and Mary and Ken Lautner.

Those preceding her in death are her mother, Phyllis Kilcherman, sister-inlaw Irene Kilcherman and niece Danita Kilcherman, father-in-law Wallace Drow, mother-in-law Harriet Drow, brother-inlaw Bob Drow, and brother-in-law Jim Grant.

Krinne has many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

The family would like to thank Dr. Yelena Kier at the Cowell Cancer Center and her staff for the wonderful care of Krinne these past 9 years. Also, we would like to thank the Munson Medical Center staff for their care as well.

Krinne will be interred at a later date at the Leelanau Township Cemetery in Northport, Michigan.
