To the editor:
I am a part-timer, but have a strong attraction to Leelanau, and specifically Leland. I read the Enterprise every week and NOTHING in the paper prepared me for the appearance of the new Bluebird structure. What an eyesore!
The building that was turned down north of there, because it didn’t conform to Leland’s character and ambience was of the same design and materials.
Where were the planners when the Bluebird building was approved? It totally wrecks the quaintness of downtown Leland. Shame on you!
