Leland soccer (6-1-1) continued its scorching start this week with a pair of 8-0 wins over Suttons Bay, Manistee and Buckley over the past week.
The Comets had seven different goal scorers against Suttons Bay last Wednesday with Leland sophomore Nano Creamer leading the way with two assists.
Leland junior Brian Mosqueda had a goal along with two assists. Other Comet scorers include Max Waldrup, Liam Waskiewicz, Jose Roman, Weston Burda, and Adrian Spencer. Leland senior Colby Connor also had an assist.
The outstanding defensive effort by the Comets led to a combined shutout for Leland goalkeepers Ravello Smith and Howie Kropp.
Leland traveled to Manistee on Friday for an out of conference primetime where the Comets won 7-1.
Creamer added two goal; Liam Waskiewicz two goals, two assists; Landon Allen one goal; Weston Burda three assists; Mosqueda one assist; Jose Roman one goal; Adrian Spencer one goal; Alan Cortez one assist; Ravello three saves; Howie Kropp two saves.
Leland then turned around and defeated Buckley 8-0 on Monday.
Raverllo led with another shutout on one save, while Waldrup had one goal and three assists on the night.

Lakers defeat Norsemen Glen Lake has found their way to .500 (5-5) halfway through the season after defeating Suttons Bay 4-0 on Monday.
The Lakers were led by Sawyer Homes with a goal and two assists. Hunter Cox, Brody Switzer, and Ben Selby each scored a goal.
Anthony Forton earned the shutout with nine saves.
The win over Suttons Bay rebounded the Lakers after losing to TC St. Francis 6-1 last week.
