To the editor:
Over the past two years, the Leelanau County Board of Commissioners has made some baffling decisions.
They paid a consultant to survey employees they don’t even manage — like deputies, clerk assistants and extension workers — who are under the control of other officials or unions. The only person they actually employ is the county administrator.
This waste of time and money led to nothing but confusion and bad press. Why didn’t Kama Ross, head of the personnel committee, know this?
I’m voting for Al Campbell for District 5 because we need leadership that understands how the county works.
