Suttons Bay Village recently issued land use permits for 12 residential units across six duplexes at the north end of the village in July and August. This is part of the Harbor Heights development, which will eventually consist of 32 units across 16 duplexes on Waypoint Circle Drive, at the end of North Duester Park Lane.
Village Manager Rob Larrea told the newspaper that village staff are currently working with the developer, Northporte Development LLC, on the installation of the roadway leading to the duplexes. Larrea noted that village ordinances require that developers put in the roadway in its entirety at this stage.
The units each consist of onestory wood frame buildings with finished basements, main floors, covered entries, porches, and finished attached garages, according to permit applications filed with the county department of building safety. They are intended for retirees, second homeowners, and as vacation homes.
