Suttons Bay School will cap off this week’s homecoming activities with a dance on Saturday.

Students had spirit day activities each day this week, each with theme. Activities included a pie eating contest, water balloon toss and even a powder puff football game.

Friday, in addition to a lunch time tug-of-war, there is a pep assembly at 2:25 p.m. Longtime teacher and retiree Joyce Nash will serve as marshal for the homecoming parade that begins at 5 p.m. She will turn 100 next month.

At the same time, the Suttons Bay Sports Boosters will host their annual Chili Supper Fundraiser, in the high school cafeteria.

Homecoming king and queen will be crowned at halftime of the 7 p.m. football game against Brethren.

Senior representatives Jackson Loucks, Mya Kohler, Graham Martin, Isabelle Porter, Grayson Opie, Rebekka Grant, Austin Vang and Michelle Arroyo will be waiting to hear their name.

Suttons Bay will be looking to bounce back after a loss to Mio on Friday during the pivotal game.

The following day Suttons Bay will play in Northport at 11 a.m. for a homecoming game as well.

The homecoming dance is set for 8 to 10 p.m. in the school skylight area.
