Farmers market pop-ups

Parents and community members were welcomed to attend the Northport Public School pop-up farmers market on Thursday morning set up in the school's front parking lot. The event was the official kick off of the farm to school markets this fall. Featured vendors included 9 Bean Rows, Bakkers Acres, Full Circle Lavender Farm, Still Point Market, Maple Sugar Bush, MI Farm Cooperative, Michigan State University Extension, and more. The pop-up markets give students at participating schools the opportunity to speak with local small business owners, farmers, and other professionals while on campus.
