Apply for grant

To the editor:

I am a former Suttons Bay school bus driver. School bus runs are long and of course frequent. I have seen firsthand how much diesel fuel those big buses burn every day every week every month. The state of Michigan is offering clean energy School Bus grants. It is the perfect use of an electric bus. A fixed route. I think it’s time our schools start the process for getting clean fuel burning buses. Let’s apply for a clean energy bus grant soon.
