I want to sincerely thank Al Campbell for his dedication to running Kids Fishing Day. With the support of the Parks Commission, MDNR, the Grand Traverse Band, and many volunteers, Al has helped countless kids catch their first fish. If those kids go on to buy fishing licenses, they’ll help sustain conservation efforts across the state.

Kids Fishing Day is a cherished event in Leelanau County, drawing over 1,000 people to Veronica Valley Park. Al is also deeply involved in a scholarship program that helps local students attend college.
