HOMECOMING WINS FOR SB, LELAND

Suttons Bay (3-1) defeated Brethren 26-0 during a Homecoming game on Friday. The Norse got the scoring done early and often with a pair of touchdown passes from senior quarterback Grayson Opie to wide receiver Urijah TwoCrow to go up 20-0 at halftime.

The Norse got the scoring done early and often with a pair of touchdown passes from senior quarterback Grayson Opie to wide receiver Urijah TwoCrow to go up 20-0 at halftime.

Suttons Bay seniors Austin Vang and Michelle Arroyo were named homecoming king and queen. Senior representatives included Jackson Loucks, Mya Kohler, Graham Martin, Isabelle Porter, Grayson Opie, Rebekka Grant, Austin Vang and Michelle Arroyo.

Northport celebrated their homecoming at the Northport Homecoming Soccer game between Suttons Bay and Kingsley Saturday. The Northport Homecoming court is Aydan Pino, Davin Glidden, Nick Shiner. Back row: Lyvia Roman, Leila Robertson, Lydia Robertson and Laura Christiansen.

Northport homecoming king was named Connor Sahs and queen Katie Frank.

Suttons Bay defeated Kingsley in emphatic fashion 1-0 thanks to a first half goal from Julian Calderon in the final minute that was assisted by Isaac Martin and Jorge Gomez. The goal proved to seal the game for the Norsemen.

Suttons Bay goalie Jacob Davis earned the shutout with 10 saves. Davis was pivotal earlier in the game, swiping away multiple Kingsley scoring chance.

Sahs an outing worthy of a king leading the Norse defensively with six steals, eight intercepts and two blocked shots. Suttons Bay had scoring chances all night with 14 shots but it was hard to find the back of the net.

No. 2-ranked Comets take care of business

Leland (12-1-1 trounce Charlevoix in a 5-0 Homecoming defeat.

Leland senior Colby Connor and Juliet Hyde were crowned Comet royalty as Homecoming king and queen.

The Comets are currently ranked second in division 4 soccer.

Liam Waskiewiscz scored two goals, followed by Brian Mosqueda, Warren Burdan, and Alan Cortez all scoring goals.

Max Waldrup dished two assists along with Mosqueda, Evan Keen, and Nano Creamer all securing assists.

Ravello Smith and Howie Kropp secured the shutout in net.

The Comets then turned around and defeated Suttons Bay 8-0 on Monday.

STATS: Waskiewicz 2 goals, 1 assist; Waldrup 2 goals; Burda goal, assist; Keen goal; Adrian Spencer goal; Cortez goal; Colby Connor 2 assists; Jose Roman assist; Creamer assist; Mosqueda assist; Trey Roman assist.

Last Wednesday, Leland soccer handed Glen Lake a 3-0 loss.

In the closest game in recent memory between Leland and Glen Lake proved to be a closer than expected game.

Colby Connor, Weston Burda, and Adrian Spencer all scored goals on the night.

Glen Lake goalie Anthony Forton played out of his mind with 10 saves and had some unlucky bounces that led to goals.
