The Leelanau Historical Society hosted its third annual maritime history festival Saturday, in conjunction with the 19th annual Wood Boats on the Wall.
The event included representatives from the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore (SBDNL) Inland Seas Education Association, North Manitou Light Keepers, Fox Island Lighthouse Association, Lake Leelanau Lake Association, Leelanau Clean Water, Grand River Navigation, and Firestone Publications.
The organizations set up tables outside the historical society museum and Leland Township Library, while captains docked their classic wooden boats along the boardwalk on the Leland River for viewing by visitors.
