Well. Here it is folks, the last three-day weekend for a while, however we are able to enjoy decent weather and the ability to get out and about without the crowds.
For those of you in the know, After 44 years, it’s time to bid farewell to Monte, the man behind the freshest produce at Anderson’s Market. Monte has kept Glen Arbor well stocked and well fed with local goodness for decades. His dedication, knowledge and friendly smile will be deeply missed, but it is time for him to enjoy the sweetest retirement. Thank you, Monte, for everything you have done to make Anderson’s Market a place where fresh and local meet friendly. All the best and enjoy retirement.
The Empire Area Museum Complex will celebrate Heritage Day on Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. There are many new collection and as always a great collection of vintage cars, bicycles, tractors, hit and miss engines and this year the 1956 Oldsmobile 98 Dune ride car. The car will be on display for all to enjoy. Much to see, Moomers ice cream will be available, popcorn will be served all afternoon. Take my word for it, this is the best small town museum you have ever seen, and it rivals some of the larger museums. Worth the time, worth the trip.
