Tuesday, Oct. 1
7:31 a.m. — Centerville Township — A red truck went off the road and rolled over. Occupants are uninjured and out of the vehicle.
7:35 a.m. — Solon Township — Saturn Ion halfway between house and road. Has been there since yesterday. Appears the property is in a claim process and the vehicle in question appears to have hit a stump causing transmission issues.
8 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Each morning a diesel truck drives by at 6:30 for the past three weeks. Cutting through Sunset Drive at a high rate of speed waking up caller’s children.
11:35 a.m. — Leelanau Township — Employee didn’t show up for work in Northport. Last spoke with her on Sunday. (Subject OK. Came to the door.)
3:10 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller is falsely accused of child abuse. (Caller advised about reapplying for a personal protection order.
6:15 p.m. — Leland Township — Caller says a white Ford truck has been parked for more than 24 hours in the parking lot. Concerned for owner.
6:57 p.m. —Empire Township — Caller has trespassers on his property. They are on the beach. Caller got argumentative about water line property rights.
Wednesday, Oct. 2
10:01 a.m. — Kasson Township —Larceny of trail cam taken from a spot.
4:41 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Someone is throwing plant matter in the creek. Caller wants a deputy to take a look. (Caller was given number for the Department of Natural Resources.)
6:26 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Neighbor dispute.
7:33 p.m. — Centerville Township — Sign taken from caller’s porch. Cut in half.
8:31 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Missing juvenile. Last saw son Monday morning. (Call forward to Grand Traverse County. This is where son went missing from.)
10:35 p.m. — Empire Township — Caller is reporting a vehicle around on his property and they are not supposed to be doing so. (Spoke with the homeowner. They advised the vehicle left a while ago.)
10:47 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Domestic call.
Thursday, Oct. 3
9:59 a.m. — Bingham Township — Caller returned from home and notice a back window on an out building has been shattered. (Per law enforcement, possibly caused by an animal, feathers found inside.)
12:57 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller found a female dog that looks like it’s been lost for a while. Very skinny, golden Retriever with faded red harness. No tags.
3:25 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Bulldog in the road on M-201 north of Northport.
4:11 p.m. — Leland Township — Neighbor is moving autumn olive onto caller’s property line.
4:53 p.m. — Kasson Township — Vehicle swerving all over the road. Maroon, Jeep Laredo.
Friday, Oct. 4
10:33 a.m. — Bingham Township — Caller had political signs stolen from her property. Caller called back and said her signs weren’t stolen. They were removed by the Road Commission due to the right-of-way violation and placed off to the side on her property.
12:51 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Son-in-law and another person are arguing.
2:14 p.m. — Bingham Township — Three vehicles in the roadway. Shooting a GM commercial. Suttons Bay Fire is running traffi
c control.
5:42 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Burgundy truck drives by caller’s house everyday around 5:30 p.m.. yelling obscenities at them. Caller does not know who the driver is but he thinks it has to do with political signs in his front yard. Caller would like this patrol information because he finds it threatening.
7:49 p.m. — Leland Township — Caller left tool box outside at 5 p.m. Toolbox has been stolen. (Per caller, neighbor took box for safekeeping.)
9:51 p.m. — Empire Township — Illegal camping. (Per law enforcement, they will be moving on.)
Saturday, Oct. 5
3:01 a.m. — Leelanau Township — Large brush fire by the Grand Traverse Lighthouse. Owner was reached to let him know pit is on fire. Someone enroute to give a hand.
9:13 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller can see a lot of smoke coming from the front of the house. Unknown if they are burning brush or if it is coming from the house. (Small campfi re at the residence.) 10:52 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Elderly gentleman standing on the side of the road with a piece of paper taped to his head and looks to be hitch hiking. (Law enforcement unable to locate.)
10:54 a.m. — Bingham Township — Black Cadillac with no license plate traveling at a high rate of speed. Passing several cars.
11:25 a.m. — Solon Township — Brother’s grandson removed a trail camera. (Camera was not taken but placed on the ground. Caller informed that this is a cintuance of his civil issue and to bring it to court.)
11:32 a.m. — Bingham Township — Caller hasn’t spoken with elderly friend since Thursday morning. She’s not answering her phone. Caller is concerned. (Per law enforcement, it doesn’t appear anyone is home. No cars. Some of the blinds are drawn and there is a small dog in the house).
12:55 p.m. — Persons all around the intersection of M-72 and Bugai Road. Holding Trump signs and waving at passing motorists. One of them flipped caller off.
1:27 p.m. — Kasson Township — Grassfire starting in field and the woods.
3:03 p.m. — Grassfire in caller’s backyard that burned through some pallets and is spreading to the woods.
3:34 p.m. — Solon Township — Husband is on ATV. Been gone for undetermined amount of time. (Found at the rear of the property.)
6:16 p.m. — Leland Township — Son is having an emotional breakdown, yelling at others then walked off into the orchard.
6:55 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Three motorcycles have been revving up and down Lake Street and Northwood Drive. Popping wheelies for over an hour. Caller does not need to be seen. Would just like officers to be aware.
Sunday, Oct. 6
7:29 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Dogs fighting. Caller can’t break it up.
9:34 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller went outside and individual threatened to shoot him and his dog. Caller would like to see an officer.
12:29 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Coast Guard notifi ed dispatch there are two persons that were on a jet ski are in the water and having trouble getting back aboard. Capsized and struggled back to South Manitou Island. (“Leland boat” is stowed for the season. Conditions too rough for Glen Arbor Fire Department boat. Coast Guard spoken to again. They are aware of and spoke with the original caller.)
5:42 p.m. — Empire Township — Caller reports tourists came up his driveway in a rental RV and when they went to leave, it took a gouge out of the driveway causing damage.
