Lakers and Comets shine a final conference meet

In the last conference race of the season, Glen Lake and Leland cross country teams traveled to Benzie for a competitive jamboree, with strong performances across the board. Glen Lake senior Colebrook Sutherland continued his winning ways in the boys race, finishing first with a time of 16:00.

In the last conference race of the season, Glen Lake and Leland cross country teams traveled to Benzie for a competitive jamboree, with strong performances across the board.

Glen Lake senior Colebrook Sutherland continued his winning ways in the boys race, finishing first with a time of 16:00. His teammate, Abraham Feeney, secured second place, crossing the line in 16:19. Benzie’s Eli and Wyatt VanPoortfiliet, Jackson Schaub, Glen Lake’s Liam McCaw, and Leland’s Carter Suttman followed with strong finishes.

Laker sophomore Lincoln Bailey placed 15th with a time of 17:45, closely followed by Leland’s Evan Keen and Campbell Fedderman, who finished 18th and 19th, respectively. Glen Lake sophomore Britton Wheeler took 21st, trailing were Dexter Martin, Dean McKellar, and Miles Wright.
