To the editor:
Republican Commission Chair Bunek led the “misguided decision” to create structural financial taxpayer burdens by adding Finance and HR departments without rationale or an implementation plan, undermining the Republican Clerk’s office (5/21/21); Democrats voted no. Most current Republican and all Democrat Commissioners are working to fix this mess. Nationally, Trump ended 2020 with 6.7% unemployment (now 4.2%), a negative 2.8% GDP (now+3.0%), inflation at 2.5% and rising (now 2.3% and falling) amidst a health crisis and no legislative immigration plan! Republican administrations leave financial messes, then, as evident in campaign messages, blame conscientious parties working to clean up their mess.
