To the editor:
It was the Republicans who instigated the County Reorganization that has cost us $800,000+. Led by Chairman Bunek, without notice or discussion, the County Commission in 2021 stripped duties performed successfully for 20 years by our County Clerk. Mandating a new Department of Financing and Human Resources, thus began a lengthy stream of interviews and unqualified applicants. With transparency and accountability their stated goal, they cannot deny their part in this ongoing fiasco. Quit trying to blame the current Commissioners!
