To the editor:
When I look at candidates for local office, I look at two criteria that are more important to me than whether they are a Democrat or a Republican: Do they have a history of local involvement as a volunteer trying to help the community?
Do they have a work history or educational background that prepares them for community service?
Look at the resumes of the candidates — have they done meaningful work to help the community already? Do they have a work history that shows their commitment to public welfare? Choose wisely.
