Tuesday, Oct. 8
12:42 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Caller lost the keys to his vehicles while at the Dune Climb and needs assistance to get to Traverse City.
Caller reached out to insurance company and they could not provide any help. They have a baby with them and need to make it to a hotel in Traverse City. Taxi cab company is willing to pick up the caller and his family.
4:12 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller is scared and afraid of being alone. Hearing things outside. Button activation to Guardian Medical requesting law enforcement. (Checked around house. All secure.)
5:17 p.m. — Elmwood Township — White GMC truck almost two head-on collisions and cutting people off.
Wednesday, Oct. 9
9:46 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Civil standby request. Wants to avoid confrontation. Driving a black Ford Edge.
11:20 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Family trouble.
2:36 p.m. — Leland Township — Caller sees small power boat, possibly red in color, appears to be drifting with people on board. (Harbormaster reports that the group may be the U.S. Geological Survey was out on the water.)
5:56 p.m. — Kasson Township — Stolen political sign.
6:13 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Neighbor cut trees on the eastern boundary of caller’s property. Caller is going to have the property line survey and will then make a final determination if they were his trees or not.
8:05 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Caller lives next to Manitou Boulevard public access. Says there’s a camper van and she is worried they may be staying to camp for the night. Ordinance states no camping or parking from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Caller was advised that the people in the van may be looking to enjoy the beach or look for northern lights. Caller was asked to call back after 10 if they haven’t left. (Law enforcement drove through at 11 p.m. No van was present.)
11:22 p.m. — Empire Township — Called out with a vehicle at
Empire Beach. (Car occupants were looking at the stars.)
Thursday, Oct. 10
12:37 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Caller’s fiance is walking around. Lost. Caller unknown if he is in danger. Phone pinged identifying location. Law enforcement with caller, enroute to the Thoreson Road area. (At Beach Club parking lot with missing person.)
1:39 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Man sitting on the bench at the church looks ill. Says he’s dehydrated. Thinks he should be checked out.
2:08 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Contractor truck/trailer was on Fouch Road when the caller went there to pick up her children from the bus stop. Asked the driver to move as he was parked where the bus usually stops. When he was asked to move again, the driver became belligerent, drove his truck towards the caller and barely missed his vehicle with caller’s children inside. Called the contractor’s office to report their driver, but hasn’t heard back from them. (Spoke with law enforcement. Provided options. He was satisfied and doesn’t wish to pursue further action.)
2:47 p.m. — Solon Township — Individual illegally dumping dirt in caller’s swamp.
3:46 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller owns property on Scott Hill Road. Has the area chained off. Someone keeps cutting the chain or removing the posts and there is evidence of offroad vehicle use, causing lots of erosion.
5:05 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Man walked by road. Swearing and kicked over trash can and kept walking. (Law enforcement spoke with individual. He said he kicks his own trash can as he was frustrated.
8:56 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller lives across from the white church. Thought that they saw something walking around. Caller advised that officers will take a look when available. Casked to call back if anything changes. (Pastor showed up on scene and is reviewing camera footage. Interior is secure.
9:16 p.m. — Bingham Township — Caller wants to file trespass charges against individual who came onto her property soliciting political activity while she was away. She has no trespassing signs at the base of her property. (Caller was seeking some answers and was provided some insight and guidance.)
9:37 p.m. — Bingham Township — Some vehicles parked on caller’s property. Does not know if they are partying or what but there are brine pits back there and he’s more worried about a drowning hazard. Does not want to press charges. Would just like them to move on.
Friday, Oct. 11
9:04 a.m. — Empire Township — Vehicle parked in the apartment lot — no plate. (Tow truck just jumped the vehicle and now it is parked there running. But hasn’t left and there is a male by the car now.)
10:33 a.m. — Leland Township — Political signs blocking view if traffic and according to the caller, she feels they are illegal because of an article in the paper. (Caller advised to contact Road Commission.)
11:57 a.m. — Empire Township — One taken into custody for no operator’s license on person and providing a false name.
Noon — Elmwood Township — Subject destroyed all caller’s heirlooms and property while she wasn’t allowed to be at the house. Wants subject trespassed. (Subject’s name is on the house and there nothing barring him entry.)
12:45 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Law enforcement out in the driveway with the couple above filming one another while verbally arguing. Removing belongings. Both parties were advised that it was a civil issue and to wait for court paperwork to make decision).
1:35 p.m. — Solon Township — Bear ran out and hit the side of caller’s car. Bear ran off. Red Highlander. (Vehicle was drivable.)
2:59 p.m. — Solon Township — On northwest side of road, within five minutes, caller say a male with orange full face ski mask dumped boxes (maybe four, threefoot tall). Caller is not sure if he dumped the contents or the whole box in the woods. Drove a silver SUV.
5:20 p.m. — Bingham Township — Grass fire. Vineyard property. Winds WNW at 13.9 mph. (Still have fire moving through the woods. DNR brings bulldozer. All units clear of the fire scene.)
6:44 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Someone is shooting a gun over and over near Hoxie and closer to Lincoln Dr. Has been going on for 30 minutes, sometimes in between and sometimes rapids. (Law enforcement listened for 20 minutes. Didn’t hear anything.)
11:15 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller reports a car in the ditch just north of this address. Vehicle unable to make contact with registered owner. Message left. There are valuables inside the vehicle. Keys gone. Windows are all down.
11:36 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Two-vehicle accident in front of bar. Second caller says five cars involved. (Per law enforcement, one in custody after sobriety test.)
Saturday, Oct. 12
1:21 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller stopped to check on a vehicle. The man inside pulled a gun on him and then took off. (Conflicting stores of what occurred. Road rage incident, per law enforcement.)
9:14 a.m. — Bingham Township — Ex-husband is stalking caller and was chasing down the trail. Gray Chevy Traverse. She ran away with the kids.
12:53 p.m. — Solon Township — Subject appears to have been drinking. Will need a deputy with a PBT. Subject taken into custody for operating while intoxicated.
3:51 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Tan Subaru Outback swerving from one side of he road crossing the center line.
5:46 p.m. — Cleveland Township — Two dirt bikes riding up and down Sugar Loaf Mountain.
Sunday, Oct. 13
5:20 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller requests a welfare check. (Made contact with subject. She is perfectly fine.)
7:43 a.m. — Cleveland Township — Park ranger with plate on a vehicle on a road with no name in Port Oneida. Looks like it’s been here all night. Illegal camping.
7:12 p.m. — Leland Township — Caller advised his ex would not give him their kids even though it is his time to have them, per court order paperwork. Caller would like this documented for legal purposes.
Monday, Oct. 14
1:39 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller turned self into the Sheriff’s Office advising that she drove to the Sheriff’s Office under the influence.
9:43 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Caller was running on Heritage Trail when a red compact car with black doors stopped and stared at her. Male, wearing blue-mirrored glasses drown down the road and cam back around to stop and stare at her again.
12:20 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller said he has the right to family property/ belongings and they are being sold without his consent.
1:35 p.m. — Bingham Township — Caller said a contractor is causing damage to his cedar trees.
2:15 p.m. — Bingham Township — Caller was pouring concrete drive, had tools in road so that they could finish. Someone who lives on the private drive ran over tools.
11:16 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Parent given a viable address for missing son. Caller would like law enforcement assistance to check.
Tuesday, Oct. 15
12:09 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Making contact with family and juvenile again.
