To the editor:
A call was given to Leelanau’s BOC at Tuesday’s meeting to reassure a resident that they firmly believed in the election system and process the Clerk has chosen to use locally is trustworthy. Concerns were shared with the BOC over the past year by numerous local individuals.
After the meeting, with the exception of one, each commissioner confirmed their faith or confidence in funding the system, the clerk has chosen.
When asked to confirm that in an affidavit relinquishing their immunity for funding this that was chosen they refused. Why?
