To the editor:
Recently, Supervisor Och accused the Leland Township Board of balancing budgets by “ignoring” parks and infrastructure.
True, we developed an efficient, sustainable budget. The rest: false.
Two phases of sidewalks, three miles of road surfacing, safety-minded street repairs, seawall engineering, a half-million dollars in park spending, resident-led initiatives like bike trails and an ice rink, plus time we spent salvaging projects she had derailed.
How Och forgot these — while pushing for more in taxes — voters can decide.
But running a campaign she promised against with dishonest and condescending attacks reveals a troubling pattern.
It’s time for change.
