To the editor:
Many of you have already voted. For those who have not, vote your conscience and do your homework. Much false information is being spread.
Many candidates talk about being fiscally conservative and cutting taxes. Your locally elected boards are all wrestling with this challenge. Yet if you examine the county budget, the large percentage of our taxes goes into public safety such as law enforcement and emergency services, along with support for seniors, young families, and mandated services.
Vote for those candidates who thoughtfully discuss what constituents want and how to effectively manage resources.
