To the editor:
Rick Robbins—the architect of the disastrous Finance Department separation—has cost taxpayers over $800,000. Robbins, who was ousted two years ago, is running again as a Democrat, and if he returns, it will be a disaster for Leelanau County taxpayers. Wessell and his team have had nearly three years to fix the financial mess, but instead, they’ve only made it worse. Their failures speak louder than their excuses. It’s time to stop blaming Republicans and demand real accountability from those who’ve done nothing but spend, spend, spend.
