12:04 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Caller came with her boyfriend to The Homestead. She does not feel safe with him. She is in the car and was able to lock it. She would like an officer to assist.
Caller’s girlfriend has taken his car. Acura TLX. Has been drinking. (Female half taken into custody.)
8 a.m. — Centerville Township — Caller’s wife hit a deer near M-22 and Good Harbor Trail. She did not have good service.
9:26 a.m. —Centerville Township — Caller believes something is on fire in some kind of rickety tent on the side of the road. (No hazards there. This is going to be burn permit as they are clearing a lot. It has blue tarps on the ground.)
10:41 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller has a friend who is verbally and mentally abused. Wants to speak with an officer about see if there are any other options for her friend at this point.
(Caller advised to contact an attorney and the Women’s Resource Center for any assistance.)
8:03 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Black Ford Expedition is being followed by a darker Jeep Cherokee. There was an incident at Empire Beach and the offender vehicle followed the caller into Glen Arbor. However, when the caller turned off the main road the offender vehicle did not follow and continued on. Caller would like this as patrol information for now.
8:32 p.m. — Leland Township — Caller advised his ex-wife put an air tag in his car and he just located it tonight. He would like to report this as it has happened before.
10:27 p.m. — Empire Township — Employees at gas station advised there is a single male on a trick bike wearing a green bandanna on his head. Has been doing laps around the state station for about a half hour. Messing with little things outside.
Thursday, Oct. 17
11:22 a.m. — Leland Township — Second call referencing a low flying helicopter in the bluff/ beach area. Caller advised the individual has done this before and she might know who the pilot is. (Caller advised if she gets additional information on the pilot to advise dispatch.)
12:34 p.m. — Bingham Township — Small dinghy. Boat flooded and seems to be abandoned on the beach. It’s been there a while. Caller wold like the owner notified so he can come remove the boat. (Contacted the boat owner and put him in contact with the caller. The boat will be removed.)
3:03 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Possible illegal burn. (Owner put the fire out.)
3:20 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Caller’s wife has been lost on the Cottonwood Trail for three hours. The park was also contacted directly reference the same incident. Last seen wearing a blue jacket, black hair, no medication conditions. (Female found at Overlook 9 and 10.)
8:09 p.m. — Bingham Township — Caller was out walking dog in subdivision when the neighbors’ dog came outside and had their dog off leash. The neighbor’s dog ran up to the caller and started messing with her dog. When the two got into a fight, the owner of the other dog started telling at the caller and her dog.
Friday, Oct. 18
12:46 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Yellow Jeep stopped for sobriety check. Driver taken into custody for operating while intoxicated.
9:53 a.m. — Kasson Township — One cow in the road. (Owner arrived. Cow in pasture. Still missing a small calf.)
11:38 a.m. — Empire Township — Person living in car. Two dogs in the car keeping caller awake.
11:53 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller wants to relay a road-rage incident that happened with her friend yesterday. (Counseling and advice provided.)
2:20 p.m. — Empire Township — Smoke investigation near W. Empire Hwy. and W. Benzonia Trl. Someone burning leaves. Advised them of the burning restrictions that are in effect and the fire was extinguished.
5:43 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Patient did not show for an appointment. Concerned for his welfare. (Subject called and said he is doing fine. Said that he moved out of the area.)
8:45 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Caller reports an object in the sky flashing red and green. Very bright. See it between Sleeping Bear Point and South Manitou.
Saturday, Oct. 19
12:02 a.m. — Solon Township — Male came to caller’s door looking for an individual.
12:03 a.m. — Centerville Township — Black car came up driveway. Caller turned on porch light. They sat in the driveway for a few minutes. They left a few minutes ago. Caller would like someone to drive the area when possible.
7:21 a.m. — Kasson Township — Caller says there’s a vehicle parked across from her driveway that’s been there all night. Caller thinks it’s suspicious. (Out with two campers. Temporarily camping until she found house. Will be moving along.)
11:34 a.m. — Kasson Township — Child, 3 months old; locked in the car. Currently face down on the seat. Good Samaritan assisted with breaking a window. Child was crying but OK. (No further assistance needed.)
1 p.m. — Leland Township — Stuff in purse has been removed.
4:15 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Found a cell phone near the Dune Climb. Left it with clerk at the gas station. (Owner retrieved phone before ranger arrived.)
5:57 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Two individual acting erratically.
8:25 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Two cars parked in the middle of the road.
9:47 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Someone was pounding on caller’s windows and door. Doesn’t know who it would be.
11:09 p.m. — Solon Township — Someone standing outside of a truck tried to way down passerby. Caller didn’t feel comfortable stopped and continued driving. Truck just south of White Road on Co. Rd. 651.
Sunday, Oct. 20
1:38 a.m. — Solon Township — Rollover accident reported. Patient going to seek medical treatment in private vehicle.
12:01 p.m. — Empire Township — Black car parked in front of vehicle charging station near caller’s house. Been parked there for two days. Thinks it’s suspicious. (Vehicle actively charging. No issue here per law enforcement.)
2:29 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Someone is putting traffic cones in the middle of Dumas Road at M-22 in an attempt to control traffic. Two cones in the middle of Dumas. They say “slow” on them. Will be removing them from the roadway. (Law enforcement spoke with homeowner. He will remove the cones and not replace them.)
3:02 p.m. — Kasson Township — Caller got home Friday evening. Package from Amazon on the porch had been cut open. After discussing possibilities, it was agreed that the contents may have fallen out of the package during delivery. She will contact Amazon and attempt a settlement with them and if needed will call back.
3:54 p.m. —Leelanau Township — Grass fire. (Deputy spoke with president of the homeowners association and homeowner. They reached an understanding or current burning restrictions.)
4:56 p.m. — Kasson Township — Motorist came across a male who fell off his bike and possibly broke his shoulder.
Monday, Oct. 21
9:44 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Backpackers on the Sleeping Bear Point path about 1/4 mile up the path on the left side. Fifty foot off the path people having a bonfire. (Per ranger, seems like people are illegally camping out there as well.)
11:51 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller is having a fence put in and neighbor is harassing the workers.
1:35 p.m. — Bingham Township — Burning some leaves that seem to be getting out of control. Two people trying to put it out in the backyard. (Fire put out.)
7:10 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Late waterfowl shooting complaint on Cedar Lake.
7:29 p.m. — Bingham Township — Neighbor is burning debris again and she is concerned about how dry it has been lately.
8:41 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — South of caller the neighbor is burning. The smoke is making caller’s nose burn. (Small campfire. Nothing illegal going on here, according to law enforcement.)
9:28 p.m. — Kasson Township — Neighbors to the south are yelling. Blue Subaru and small gold car. Female is yelling. (Caller called back and advised the male half left northbound in a gold Buick.)
