To the editor:
Last Monday evening we were almost home after a long day of traveling from Iowa when a deer came out from nowhere and we hit it (or rather it hit us). We were on M-22 south of Suttons Bay. Unhurt, we pull over to the shoulder. Almost immediately a nearby homeowner came out of his house to check on us and help us call the sheriff. Then ten minutes later another young man stopped to check on us. After the deputy arrived and filled out an accident report, we continued on our way, thankful that the car still ran. We didn’t get names, but thank you to these Good Samaritans. In a country of divisive rhetoric it is heartening to know that most people will go out of their way to help. You brightened our day!!
