8:03 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller observed a white van crossing the centerline with a headlight out.

Wednesday, Oct. 30

8:03 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller observed a white van crossing the centerline with a headlight out. Northbound on M-22 from Cherry Bend Rd.

10:35 a.m. — Cleveland Township — Female screaming and throwing sticks and leaves at workers.

1:29 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Caller just had a verbal argument with his boss. So, the caller left on foot from the building site where were working. Nothing physical.

3:07 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — White Chevy Traverse parked since 9:30 a.m. Female with dog got out and headed toward the beach. (Car is still there. No one around, doors unlocked and no one on the beach, per law enforcement.)

3:12 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Strange male sitting in a chair on caller’s front porch. Sleeping. No strange vehicles around but caller noticed a backpack and plastic bag in the front yard. (One taken into custody on a warrant, per law enforcement.)

Thursday, Oct. 31

12:34 p.m. — Solon Township — Subject is running a bulldozer on his property and knocking down trees. (Ongoing issue. Neighbors don’t agree with the survey and they were advised to pay for, and obtain, their own survey.)

1:01 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Representative of a non-profit destroyed website.

1:18 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Person seen on camera. Caller would like it checked out. (Property checked. Nothing suspicious there.)

3:57 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Additional patrols requested at the township office to monitor the ballot drop box for any nefarious activities.

5:23 p.m. — Bingham Township — Neighbors’ dog found in caller’s coop killing chickens. Pit mix. Light brown.

7 p.m. — Solon Township — Black cow outside of the fence. It’s not in the roadway, but just loose.

7:17 p.m. — Empire Township — Caller went to watch the sunset. A surfer went out and 5 to 10 minutes ago, lost sight of him. Caller is by the lighthouse. (Surfer located without injuries.)

11:41 p.m. — Bingham Township — Two vehicles northbound 100 mph. All lights blacked out on both vehicles. Jeep Gladiator off the roadway. Has vehicle pulled over. One in custody.

K-9 unit deployed.

Friday, Nov. 1

2:01 a.m. — Bingham Township — Caller has a personal protection order against an individual and the past three nights a vehicle has pulled into caller’s driveway and shined lights at her house. (Caller called back stating she thinks it was a paper delivery person.)

3:04 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Suspicious incident. (Law enforcement spoke with both parties. Nothing happening here except individual was intoxicated.)

8:27 a.m. — Bingham Township — Caller and son got into it. Son left with friends.

12:21 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Met subject in the lobby and provided advice on parenting issues.

1:09 p.m. — Cleveland Township — Poor cell connection. Caller says construction workers are harassing her and she feels threatened. (Worker was on another unit. Other people in area also confirmed not a problem.)

1:22 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller heard dog barking a this address. Stopped and checked. Dog is locking in a horse trailer. Appears to be abandoned.

3:43 p.m. — Bingham Township — Suspicious incident. Caller was walking the Leelanau Trail. Three elderly were walking south. Came back at same time and the frail older lady was not with them when they came back. Caller was concerned. (Per law enforcement, nothing suspicious but if they discover anything further to call back.)

5:19 p.m. — Solon Township — Lounge chair placed out “free” has been destroyed. Happened within the past six days. (Caller just wanted to document it as she has a friend that is going to be coming and remove it.)

8:27 p.m. — Cleveland Township — Vehicle shining for deer on private property on Sugar Loaf. About 100 yards away from seasonal road.

Saturday, Nov. 2

1:43 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller advised there was a male in a large black truck sitting at the bank for about 45 minutes and how he is parked next to caller’s vehicle outside. She does not feel comfortable going to vehicle with the truck in this area. Advised the truck left but she would still fell comfortable if someone checked the area.

12:10 p.m. — Kasson Township — Previous renter was evicted several years ago and was seen on a camera. Believed to be hunting. Caller wants him trespassed.

1:43 p.m — Bingham Township — Neighbors are burning plastic in a barrel. (Homeowner arrived. Given educational materials about what is proper to burn.)

10:25 p.m. — Empire Township — Black Toyota Sienna broke down at Empire Beach. (Caller can’t get to until morning.)

Sunday, Nov. 3

1:01 a.m. — Kasson Township — Subject arrested for operating while intoxicated.

7:44 a.m. — Bingham Township — Caller was traveling northbound and saw a black Porsche in the ditch. Skid marks apparent. It appeared someone may be in the vehicle. (Lost a tire. Driver is going to attempt a repair where the vehicles is, which is well off the road.)

2:43 p.m. — Empire Township — Wife left home about a halfhour ago. Usually walks to neighbors. When she didn’t return, caller checked neighbors but no one was home. Uncertain which direction she may have headed after that. (Woman returned safely.)
