To the editor:

Can you imagine what would have happened with folks around here still denying the results of the 2020 election if this vote-flip had gone the other way?

Thank you to the candidates who took this gut-wrenching news like grownups. And thank you to Michelle Crocker, who has lived through her worst nightmare this past week. We are all indebted to her honesty, transparency and service.

And yes, Lois Bahle, a 7-vote deficit deserves a recount. Totally reasonable. All should agree.

And then we should accept the results as adults, and not deny the truth like children.
