1990 ~ 2024 TRAVERSE CITY – Ka-Gagi-Jingwak Shomin, 33, of Traverse City, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2024 in Traverse City. Ka-Gagi was born December 1, 1990 in Traverse City the son of James Raphael and Judy Shomin.

TRAVERSE CITY – Ka-Gagi-Jingwak Shomin, 33, of Traverse City, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2024 in Traverse City.

Ka-Gagi was born December 1, 1990 in Traverse City the son of James Raphael and Judy Shomin.

Jingy was always joking, laughing and had the biggest smile. He always had to be entertaining to make people laugh and feel loved. Jingy was energetic and always on the go. He was an excellent fry bread maker and baker and loved his rap and hip/hop music.

He deeply loved and treasured his dearest daughter, Gabriella.

Jingy is survived by his mother, Judy; his beloved daughter, Gabriella Hall; his siblings, Iris ( Justin) Hilts, A-Shke-Weptat Shomin, Kitchi-Kishap (Deanna Hall) Shomin, Noodin Shomin, Rudy Shomin, Elijah Shomin, Christine Shomin, Eilleen Shomin, Reign Shomin and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his father, James; his grandparents, Howard and Elsie Raphael; Francis and Vivian Shomin; his sisters, A-Goo-Nah Shomin and Geezhigate Shalifoe.

Visitation will be held at the home of Katherine Raphael until the start of the 11 a.m. visitation at the Strongheart Center of Peshawbestown on Friday, November 15th. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. also on Friday, November 15th also at the Strongheart Center. Burial will be held at a later date in Omena Hillcrest Cemetery.
