The Sabres of T-C Christian (3-0) were too much for the Norsemen (2-0) Tuesday night as they dropped their first game of the season 74-46.
Suttons Bay was led by Urijah TwoCrow with 15 points, followed by Finn Mankowski and Darius Lopez combining for 18 points.
The Norsemen travel to Frankfort on Friday in a marque conference match up.
On Friday, Suttons Bay took care of business against a fiesty Leland squad. TwoCrow once again lit up the stat sheet with 17 points, and 5 assists. Tyler Porter added 16 points, 9 rebounds, followed by Darius Lopez with 10 points; Mankowski 9 points, 10 assists.
LAKERS SHIP SINKS
The tension was in the air when Glen Lake and Harbor Springs had a showdown Tuesday night that lasted well into the night.
The Rams hit not one, but two buzzer beaters at the end of regulation and after the first overtime to keep hopes alive for Harbor Springs.
In the end Harbor Springs won 81-80 thanks to 63 points between Braeden Flynn and Rider Bartel.
The Lakers had their fair share of scorers as Jacob Plamondon contributed 25 points, 8 rebounds; Benji Allen, 17 points; Micheal Houtteman 14 points; and Dylan Cundiff 10 points.
Glen Lake travels to Buckley Friday for the first conference game of the season at 7 p.m.

Leland defeated Grand Traverse Academy 67-12 on Monday to capture its first win of the season. Leland’s Jimes Alpi had 14 points, followed by Sawyer Coutrier with 13 points; Trey Roman 12 points. In every game so far this season, Leland has had nine players score in.
