Ready or not, the holidays are hurtling towards us. The Northport Tree is being decorated and readied for the season. Northport resident Scott Cain, owner of Cain Design and Construction, was up in the bucket truck himself this past week, hanging lights and giant ornaments. Thanksgiving is just two weeks from today. Northport School is holding its annual Community Thanksgiving Lunch on Friday, November 22, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the school. It will be roast turkey with all the fixings.
It’s really hard not to gain weight this time of year. Last week, I burned 2,000 calories. That will be the last time I leave brownies in the oven when I nap.
Hanukkah is almost as late as it can be this year, starting at sunset on December 25, and ending at sunset on January 2. The first day of Hanukkah can be as early as November 28 and as late as December 27.
