The Leland High Class of 1964 had their first reunion after a lapse of 60 years. By the time they were seniors, the class size shrunk to seven members. Four girls and three boys. John Schlueter in February 2002; Steve Schwarz died February 2022, and Duane Inman died in August 2024. Marie Johnson-Buehrer was only in the class for third grade. Jill [Dechow] Baxter and Dick Kulanda left in eighth grade to attend Glen Lake. Don Mitchell left in ninth grade to attend Cranbrook Academy. The surviving classmates met at Trudy (Gordon) Carpenter’s lovely home on Suttons Bay.
